Candied Sky at Gallery Sausalito: 3rd Annual Small Works Show

My painting Candied Sky is currently on view at Gallery Sausalito from June 1 to June 29, 2026, for the 3rd Annual Biggest Small Works Show. Centered on the theme "SWEET," this exhibition features entirely small-scale works, with all participating entries restricted to a strict 12″ × 12″ format.

The artists' reception takes place this Saturday, June 6, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

"I’m inspired by colorful skies and the way certain moments of light can feel almost unreal. I began this piece by playing with layers of pinks, oranges, and soft cloud-like shapes, letting clusters and movement build naturally. As the colors started spinning together, they reminded me of watching cotton candy being made as a child—light, swirling, and a little magical. The child in me was smiling while painting it. Candied Sky came from that mix of sky palettes, movement, and childhood wonder."
